    1. Supply Chain Europe Limited and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to collectively as ‘SCE’) are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how SCE uses the information SCE collects about you and the procedures that SCE has in place to safeguard your privacy. By using SCE’s website at www.supplychaineurope.com (hereinafter ‘Site’), purchasing any products, services, programs or publications (hereinafter collectively as ‘Products’) from the Site, you consent to SCE using the information it collects about you. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions set out in this online privacy policy (hereinafter ‘Privacy Policy’), do not continue to use the Site.

    2. SCE complies with the requirements under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.


  2. CHANGES IN PRIVACY POLICY

    1. All personal information ("personal information" is defined as ‘any information that identifies or can be used to identify the person to whom such information pertains’) that is collected and maintained on this Site will be subject to this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

    2. SCE may change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion and will provide notice of changes in the Privacy Policy and on the home page of the Site at www.supplychaineurope.com.


  3. ENTITIES COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. Personal information on this Site is collected and maintained by SCE at the address shown below.

    2. The Site contains links to other sites at which personal information is collected. In such instances, unless expressly provided to the contrary, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the privacy policy applicable to that site.

    3. In addition, a link to a non-SCE website does not mean that SCE endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content, or the use, of such website. It is up to you to take precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use is free of such items as viruses, worms, trojans and other items of a destructive nature.

  5. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. For SCE to facilitate your transactions and provide you with Products, SCE may ask you to supply certain information about yourself including your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number and expiry date, publications and/or items purchased, quantity purchased and such other information which SCE deems necessary. As required, the information SCE collects is transmitted in a secure manner to third parties to assist SCE in facilitating and processing transactions entered into by you and in providing Products.

    2. Some of the information that SCE ask you to provide on the Site is mandatory whilst other information is voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data where requested, you will not be able to proceed on to the next page of the Site or use some of the features on the Site. Similarly, if you wish to delete any mandatory information which you have previously provided to SCE, you may not be able to access certain pages or features on the Site.

SCE may use aggregate information and statistics (but which will not contain your identifying information, except with your consent) for the purposes of monitoring your usage of the Site in order to help SCE develop the Site and the Products offered on it. SCE may provide such aggregate information to third parties.

  6. YOUR CHOICES WITH RESPECT TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. SCE recognises and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on the Site and in connection with the Products. SCE will respect your legal rights regarding access to, and correction and deletion of, your personal information.

    2. Subject to Clause 5 above, SCE will not provide your name to other companies or organisations without your consent.

    3. Notwithstanding Clause 6.ii above, there are other instances in which SCE may divulge your personal information, such as where required by law and/or regulation.


  7. PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. The personal information that you provide in connection with registering yourself as a user of the Site or for the Products is classified as Registration Information. Registration Information is protected in several ways. Access by you to your Registration Information is available through a password and unique customer ID selected by you. This password is encrypted. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.

    2. Personal information that you provide that does not constitute Registration Information also resides on secure servers and is accessible only to selected SCE personnel and contractors via password. Since this information is not accessible online by you, you will not be asked to select a password in order to view or modify such information

    3. As the Internet is not a secured medium, it should be appreciated that no system is entirely foolproof and you should be careful when you reveal any confidential information to any third party.


  8. TRACKING, USE OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR DEVICES

    1. Cookies are pieces of data created when you visit a site, and contain a unique, anonymous number. They do not contain any personal information about you and cannot be used to identify an individual user.

    2. You can choose not to accept cookies by changing the settings in your Internet Browser – refer to your Browser’s help files for instructions. Please be aware that if you decline the use of cookies set by SCE, you will be unable to use or access certain pages or features on the Site.

    3. You can also delete any cookies from your computer – refer to your Internet Browser’s help files.

    4. SCE may use session cookies where necessary for the functionality of the Site. Session cookies are temporary and used only during a browsing session. When you close your browser the session cookie set by the Site is destroyed and no personal information is held which might identify you.


  9. SALE OF BUSINESS

    1. If SCE is sold or integrated with another business, your details may be disclosed to SCE’s advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of SCE.
